Project Description

Plugit Cloud Platform

Designing a high quality tech deck is inevitable to have a solid foundation for any platform. However, building a winning software platform is about making the right trade-offs on top quality technology components at the right time. In Plugit, we have ensured that our “sélection de grains nobles” is the right one. We have analysed, created and developed the eMobility market for many years together with our lead customers. As an industry pioneer, we understand the business of eMobilty and our technology is business proven.

Our mission is to help companies to better understand these future tradeoffs on eMobility, find their strengths, strategic position and role on the newly defined eMobility value chain. Moreover, learn to do business from electrification. We decided to make intelligent charging services easy for everyone.

Plugit Cloud Services software platform is now available for everyone

Our platform is a set of software and micro-services that helps you to grow your business. Plugit Cloud Services platform enables growth through connecting businesses: the value of it comes not only from the wide feature set, but from its ability to connect external tools, services, data and processes; the entire business. We create sustainable ecosystems.

With a software platform as the foundation of your business ecosystem, you don’t have to limit yourself to one suite of products — you can add and subtract new applications and tools as your business grows and changes, without having to start from scratch again or deal with messy migrations.

As Mr. Teemu Arponen, from Plugit Cloud Services explains, it can be helpful to imagine a platform as a central hub where different services connect:

“Almost every SaaS product today has APIs that let it exchange data with other applications. The platform, however, plays an active role in coordinating how multiple services work together. You can picture the platform as a hub, with spokes connecting other services to its center. The hub binds those disparate services together and orchestrates them in a common mission. The platform creates a stable center of gravity for your tech stack”.

So, how exactly does the platform differ from a single software service or product?

In simple terms, a software product is a set of tools from one company that comes in a package. Everything contained within that package is designed to work together, but it can be challenging to add on new tools later. For example, if you want to add a new field service tool that works directly with your existing CRM, you may need to build an integration that connects the new tool to your existing software tools.

One-off and two-way integrations are useful in some cases. However, in rapidly electrifying industries (like eMobility) these point-to-point integrations can get complicated fast and become difficult to troubleshoot. As your business evolves, your needs will inevitably change, and the tools that worked for you originally might not be enough to keep your business up and running. You’ll need to supplement your original product suite with more outside tools — and that means more integrations.

Plugit Cloud Services Platform offers a different, more straightforward approach managing your rapidly digitalising and electrifying business. Instead of purchasing a set of tools, a platform is more like a web store with the potential to easily plug in as many services as you need. Single software products require integrations to connect different tools, but platforms are designed from the start to help different tools work together and share information more easily. Platform gives you a guided way towards true business ecosystems and is accessible for multi-tier use.
